Limassol, Cyprus – the old stomping grounds of my boyfriend. I did very little research prior to our trip and did not expect to be quite impressed by this city! Limassol is quite interesting and if you go around the city, the seaside and the mountains, you will really enjoy. I had an amazing time exploring the Old Town with those cute little shops selling embroidered fabric and leather sandals. On our first night, we checked out the Marina which was newly renovated and had dinner at the Yacht Club. The next day, the weather was indeed perfect! So I took the bus and went to the Kourion Archaeological Site, approximately 16 km west of Limassol. Kourion, an ancient city in Cyprus consisting of a complex of baths and stately villas with Hellenistic & Greco-Roman architecture, was quite picturesque. A bit of a workout (as you will find yourself walking up and down the hill to check out the area), but a good place to see as a tourist. On our third day, some friends took us to Omodos – a village in the Troödos Mountains of Cyprus. It was very charming and old fashion. A perfect place to have Cypriot coffee and some Haloumi cheese.

They say summer in Limassol is awesome… well, will keep that in mind for next time 🙂
